The Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) publicly supported charity organization, incorporated under statute by the Commonwealth of Virginia and registered with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs for the legal solicitation of charitable donations. Any questions or inquiries as to the operations and functions of this organization should be directed to cposfboard@cposf.org.

The scholarship is named “ Regent University Elizabeth Blackwell Scholarship.” Elizabeth Blackwell was a student at Regent University in 2012.  She was the daughter of the US Navy Senior Chief and had battled personal issues for years, since childhood. She passed away during her freshman year at Regent University.

Winning the scholarship does not imply admissions to Regent University and the student must apply and ultimately be admitted to Regent University in their respective program. Scholarship funds can only be used at Regent University

This scholarship is different from the normal CPOSF applications that are submitted to Newport, RI each year.
